Qing hua•Beauty
——-Li Jingbin painting solo exhibition The Pottery Workshop Shanghai will present Qinghua Beauty, an exhibition of ink paintings by contemporary artist, Li Jingbin. The exhibition will open on August 7th and continue through September 4th.
The Qinghua Beauty series is inspired by the notion of intrinsic beauty evident in Chinese poems, such as Li Sao by Qu Yuan. Li mixes Qinghua painting with delicate renderings of the female form. The inclusion of this traditional blue and white porcelain style is a reference to the hidden strength and inner beauty that reveals itself within a woman over time.
Li Jingbin graduated from Hebei Normal University Department of Fine Arts. He went on to advanced studies at the Department of Traditional Chinese Paintings at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing PRC. Li exhibits extensively in China in addition to solo shows with international galleries such as the Balthazar Gallery, Brussels, Belgium. Li has won numerous awards including first prize at the National Railway Art Exhibition, first prize at the Beijing Railway Bureau Youth Painting & Calligraphy Exhibition, first prize at the Five Central Ministries & Committees and the second class award of National essayistic fan paintings. In 2005 he founded the Li Jingbin Ink & Brush studio.
There will be a reception for the artist August 14th from 5-7 pm.

The gallery invites visitors from 9am-5pm Monday through Friday.

青花·美人

———-李晶彬个人画展

上海乐天陶社将在8月14日至9月10日举办画家李晶彬的个人水墨画展“青花·美人”。

美人，恐怕是古今中外文人墨客笔下最有生命力的主题。战国时代，屈原在《离骚》中创造了一个香草美人的世界。对美人的追求，是诗人对美好生活的向往。现在，在面前展开的《青花·美人》系列，也是画家的一种无法言说的理想。

创造力也就是艺术家的生命力，这已经是李晶彬从2005年开始创作的小唐人系列的第五个子系列了。还是那些熟悉的精致优雅的小唐人，画中的人物看起 来都不是真正的唐朝古人，但是小唐人这一简洁的形象包含了几乎一切的古典中国的元素。线条、还是线条，无声地描述着女人的身体。依然是舒缓的，纤细的，柔 蔓的线条，才可以将女人的美表达得如此纯粹，如此静谧，还有那么多的意犹未尽。

画家似乎偏爱灰色，而且是运用灰色的高手，调制出一种很特别的灰调子，也调制出了一份朴素宁静的情调。画面上最让眼睛流连的却是那一片片残缺的青 花。青花那种不扎眼的光泽好像只有女人兰心蕙质才具备，所以她是中国瓷器中的才女。此刻，她静静的绽放在美人的身体上。追踪画家这一段时期的创作，能够强 烈的感受到画家的探索历程，他在尝试用实实在在的民族精神，探索具有东方气韵、东方文化底蕴和内涵的作品，然而艺术的探索是无有穷期的。艺术家需要时时向 自己发出挑战，用自己的视角来审视周遭的世界，将自己的感触沉淀下去，再用他独特的手法表现出来。单纯的线条与青花影象的重叠，简洁与繁复的对话，这应该 就是画家的内心演化出的美的心灵景观。灰色、线条、青花氤氲出一个理想的精神境界，她仿佛是那么意外的熟悉。

画家简介:  画家李晶彬1970年出生，毕业于河北师范大学美术系，进修于中央美术学院国画系。于2005年成立水墨工作室.随后其作品更多地进入公众视野,使更多人 开始关注这位水墨画家.作为一名”70″后画家,古典滋润了童年和少年时代,古典的中国元素尽可以信手拈来,但是造型,色彩和意蕴又充满时尚感性.精致的 美人与青花下是画家一场尽情尽兴的玩味与游戏,线条的起讫,水的晕泽,墨的浓淡,色块,形状,平衡,对比,古典,时尚,意趣盎然.

第7届国际陶瓷及玻璃电影节（La 7ème édition du Festival International du Film sur l’Argile et le Verre, _ 2010, Montpellier, France）于2010年3月19日至21日在法国蒙彼利耶市“Le Corum”大会堂举行。在投选的来自33个国家，超过160部影片中，只有13个国家的21部影片列选进入复赛，角逐该电影节的五个奖项。其中由中国陶艺家陆斌、谭红宇及郑祎合作的纪录片《西南陶纪-中国西南少数民族制陶术》获第二大奖：“文化遗产奖”(Prix Patrimoine)。
电影节的主办方“法国艺术研究院”[Fifav] 对此片作了以下报道：“这是有史以来第一次纪录中国西南8个少数民族：彝族、黎族、傣族、白族、苗族、水族、藏族及穿青人制陶术的纪录片。此文献不仅对中国少数民族文化的研究、继承及发展做出了重大贡献，而且引导外观者通过制陶之途径领悟其文化的多样性。”
此片为今年电影节首放影片，同时用英语、法语及西班牙语为来自以欧洲为主的世界各国的陶瓷艺术界、玻璃艺术界与电影艺术界的专业人士作同声翻译，本片监制谭红宇女士及制片人郑祎女士参与了现场观影和接受了大会授予的“人类文化遗产奖”，导演陆斌先生则由于个人原因未能出席该电影节。在影片结束后的颁奖礼上，郑祎女士说：“片子拍摄制作的过程超过两年，期间谭红宇和陆斌克服了无数艰苦。但在此前，本片的导演陆斌先生为此课题付出了超过20年的深入研究，这是一件漫长而伟大的工作。很遗憾他今天没能来到现场，但无论如何，非常感谢他为人类制陶工艺史研究所作出的重要贡献！”
在由100多小时的母带剪切到1小时30分钟的正片里，影片的节奏快而稳，画面及现场声音处理恰当，关键的伴音并不至于使此片转化为故事片，中文傍白不加任何多余的“感情色彩”。影片情调深远，充满人情味。在对谭红宇的采访中我了解到他们已经开展了对下一个研究专题的拍摄和制作，本人希望在不久的将来能看到该片的续集。中国历史文化深广，文化遗产的研究与考证对当今世界文化有着重要的影响。同时，今天的中国艺术家以多种跨界的方式参加世界性文化交流，这也是令中国多彩的文化直面世界的一种自信的形象。

1,726 artists from 70 countries submitted work and 186 artists were selected by the panel consisting of 5 experts from the field of ceramics and contemporary art. The Biennale will take place at the Icheon World Ceramic Center (WOCEF) 25/4 -21/5 2009.

(Shanghai, 25 March 2009) Roger Moore is not 007 in the James Bond movies. He was in 1944 a US Navy Serviceman in his early twenties, who by chance was serving his tour of duty in China. The young man always brought his camera with him, recording images of Shanghai after the War of Resistance against Japan in 1945. 

These 6-decade old photos of Roger Moore, now an 84-year-old man, are now being featured in the exhibition called “1945·Shanghai”, to be held from 18 April to 17 May at The Pottery Workshop on 220 Taikang Road, Lu Wan District. The exhibition is jointly presented by Hong Kong’s Lumenvisum and The Pottery Workshop Shanghai, with support from Fringe Shanghai.

These photos tell the moving stories of a generation of Chinese people. When VJ day was being celebrated in 1945, Roger Moore focused not on the celebrations, to the surprise of many, but concentrated on capturing the ordinary people of Shanghai.

The curator’s notes put it this way: “These people suffered many hardships during the war, but the expressions of courage and optimism on their faces were totally contrary to Roger’s expectations. Even after 64 years, Roger can still recall how he was astonished by the faces of the Chinese people, so maybe it is the reason why he wants to hold the exhibition in China.”

As Roger explains, “The Japanese had bombed Shanghai unmercifully when they invaded and had treated the Chinese badly during the occupation. Under these circumstances, I expected to find the local Chinese inhabitants a discouraged beaten lot. To the contrary, their demeanor and resolve was astounding.” These ordinary Chinese retained a positive attitude which, when shown through Roger’s camera lens, reflected the integrity and persistent faith of a nation during the tragic war years.

“1945·Shanghai” will be open to the public from 10am to 6pm from Monday to Saturday, April 18 – May 17 at The Pottery Workshop.

罗杰·摩尔（Roger Moore）不是好莱坞电影里的007占士邦。1944年，罗杰·摩尔只是一名二十岁出头的美国军人，于六十五年前因缘际会被派驻中国服役。1945年，这名经常带备私人相机的海军摄影师凭着敏锐的触觉和炽热的内心，用镜头记录了饱历战火后的上海。以“1945·上海”为主题的摄影展，将于2009年4月18日至5月17日逢周一到周六上午10时至下午6时于卢湾区泰康路220号2楼乐天陶社举行。 展览由来自香港的光影作坊与上海乐天陶社联合主办，并得到《艺穗双周》支持。

八十多岁美国摄影家老兵记录“上海1945”    

光影作坊近期在香港成功举办罗杰·摩尔摄影展之后，把展览搬到上海，特别为上海市民展出这些“属于上海”的珍贵照片。这些被罗杰珍藏了半个多世纪的关于“上海”的照片能在上海展出，更是他多年来的夙愿。 “对罗杰来说，这些人刚和困扰他们多年的伤痛告别才几天，便表现出这种勇气和乐观，这些面孔或许在六十四年来一直缠绕在他脑海之中，甚至是导致今天这个他梦寐以求的展览出现在中国国境之内的原因。”策展人手记中写道。

老照片无声诉说着一个年代的故事

老照片无声地诉说着一个年代的故事。这是一名美国老兵对于“上海1945”的记忆。这是属于他一个人的记忆，更是属于一代中国人的记忆。他用相机捕捉着每一个令他感动的瞬间。1944年二次世界大战期间，罗杰被派到中国。1945年抗日战争胜利后，身处上海的他并没有将镜头对准街头上大大小小的庆祝抗日战争胜利的活动，反而把镜头对准身边的平民百姓。在经历战争和苦难后的中国平民百姓脸上所流露的却是出人意料的平和与乐观，这些中国的“表情”令如今已84岁高龄的罗杰至今记忆犹新。“六十四年之后我仍看到他们的内心，希望你们也可以……”罗杰先生在为展览题词中说道，“日本军在进侵时曾对上海做过残暴的轰炸和在占领地虐待当地的百姓。在这样的情况下，我以为会遇到的都是些备受打击和蹂躏的居民。但与此相反的是，他们的神态和复原都令人吃惊。” 这些都是再平凡不过的中国百姓脸上的神态，而通过他的镜头，折射出的却是一个民族，一个国家在经历危难之后仍保留着的过人气节与坚定不移的信念。
